Miss B Hough
Welcome to FA/Ladybirds Class
Mrs Rowe, and I are really proud of how hard you have all worked so far this year. We can not believe how fast this year is going and that we are already in the Summer term. It is wonderful to see you all confidently exploring all areas of the Foundation setting. Thank you for all the wonderful things you have shared with us on tapestry. It is a delight to see how well you are all growing and developing together. We have some great things planned for this term and are very excited to see you continue to make great first steps in your learning journey.

Key information
Tapestry
Tapestry is an online, cloud based, electronic learning journal that allows you to not only see what your child is doing at school but also for your child to share the amazing things that you do as a family. It is a fantastic way for us to work together to support your child on their learning journey. In school we will make observations of your child and assess their achievements and identify their next steps. These observations will be shared with you so you are aware of the progress your child has made and what they are working on next. You can comment on these observations allowing you to ask questions or praise your child. It also allows you the option to upload achievements and experiences from home that can then be shared in class. You should have now received an email to activate your Tapestry account. If you have not received an email or having problems activating your account please let me know and I will be happy to help. Thank you to everyone who is sharing things with us. The children love to tell their friends about their adventures at home.
PE
Foundation will doing PE on a Friday. Please send your child to school in their PE kit. They have worked hard on getting themselves changed for PE and will no longer need to get changed at school. They will come to school in their PE kit and will stay in it all day.
Labelling
Please make sure that all school uniform, PE kits, water bottles, book bags, coats and shoes are clearly labelled. This makes it a lot easier to ensure the children are bringing the correct items home or return any miss placed items.
Weather Appropriate clothes
The children in Foundation have access to our outside area all year round no matter the weather. Therefore please can you make sure that your child has weather appropriate clothes such as coats and wellies. You may choose to leave a pair of wellies or waterproof coat at school in addition to what your child wears daily. The items would remain on their peg until needed. As the weather begins to warm up please apply sun cream before school. Please make sure any hats are also clearly labelled.
