Mr I Weatherburn

Welcome to class 6A and your final year here at Wavendon Gate Primary School! Mr Weatherburn and Mrs Carrivick are excited about the year ahead; a year where we will all challenge ourselves and each other in our learning more than ever before.

Being at the top of the school comes with lots of responsibilities, the most important is being role models to the rest of the school. As well as being role models, there will be opportunities to become: House Captains and Vice-Captains, Play Leaders, School Councillors and many other roles.

We can’t wait to see you grow and learn this year! 

Spelling and Reading

Spellings are handed out every Friday and tested on the following Friday.

On Thursday, both your spelling book and reading journal should be handed in as evidence of spelling and reading taking place.

You must have completed at least 4 reads throughout the week (20 minutes each time) with a comment about what you have read. Preferably, an adult will sign it at the end of the week.

Library

The set day for our class to visit the library is on Fridays. However, the library is also open during lunchtime (12:00-12:30) on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

PE

Our PE days are Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Your children have been tasked to reach 1000 points on TTRockstars in our battle of the bands. A new battle will begin on Friday and ends on Wednesday at 8:00am. Please ensure they are reaching this goal. This will continue every week. They can find their log-ins in the back of the their reading journals. Alternatively, please contact myself for the log-in.
