Wavendon Gate School

Miss H Miller

Welcome to class 6B and your final year here at Wavendon Gate Primary School! Miss Miller, Mrs Del Basso and Mrs Carrivick are excited about the year ahead; a year where we will all challenge ourselves and each other in our learning more than ever before.

Being at the top of the school comes with lots of responsibilities, the most important is being role models to the rest of the school. As well as being role models, there will be opportunities to become: House Captains and Vice-Captains, Play Leaders, School Councillors and many other roles.

We can’t wait to see you grow and learn this year!

Spellings are handed out every Friday and the activity sheet and small spelling practice are expected to be returned (completed) the following Friday for the spelling test. Please see the ‘Homework and Spelling’ tab if you have forgotten what the spellings are.

Alternatively, please see your teacher for some help or another sheet.

Reading journals are expected in on a Friday. You must have completed at least 4 reads throughout the week (20 minutes each time) with a comment about what you have read. Preferably, an adult will sign at the end of the week.

PE days are: Mondays and Tuesdays

Your child’s maths homework will be put into a folder for safe-keeping. The homework will be set on a Friday and expected to be returned to school on Wednesday where we will mark through the answers. The homework is based upon work we have completed throughout the week. If your child is struggling, they have Monday and Tuesday to seek support.
